Step 4 to Happiness – Spread the Positivity

You’re walking through a park when out of nowhere, the man in front of you gets smacked by a cricket ball, automatically you recoil. You watching someone eat something sour you start contorting your face as you see them make funny faces, your heart starts racing in excitement as you watch some heavy duty chase or TV or movies. The most common one is when you start yawning when you see someone do the same or start smiling when you see someone

These experiences have puzzled scientists for years as to how one reacts with such sincerity at other peoples reaction. Recent researches have provided an answer which seems to explain the above responses- Mirror Neurons. These are a type of brain cell that respond equally when we perform an action and when we witness someone else perform the same action.

This concept might sound simple but do you realize what this means? This means that we co process the world! It means that our brain wirelessly connects to this network with others and thus mirrors the thoughts and emotions. This means that we are actually capable enough to create the feeling of positivity and happiness in not just ourselves but also for others around us.

As per researches the biggest help for depression is Altruism, I think now you can understand why this is true. When  you do good for others and they are happy some of the neurons inside your brain connect to the network and mirror the thought and emotions and make you feel better too.

Did you ever think you could influence others? Well you have the answer now and doesn’t this make each one of us so powerful? we can make not just ourselves happy we can make others around us happy too. In other words by trying to be happy we are creating the positivity in the environment around us.

Huge responsibility and such a great opportunity to make a difference.
